Cooldown

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 17, 2026

Cooldown is designed to be private. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any of your data. There is no Cooldown account, no analytics, and no server operated by us.

What Cooldown accesses, and where it stays

Your Claude usage data. Cooldown reads your usage limits (session and weekly percentages, reset times, and your plan) directly from Anthropic's services using credentials that already exist on your device:

These requests go directly from your device to Anthropic. They do not pass through any server we control.

Your credentials. A session key you enter is stored in the device Keychain. It is never transmitted anywhere except directly to Anthropic to authenticate your own usage request. We never see it.

Local usage logs (Mac only). To show cost and per-model breakdowns, Cooldown reads the Claude Code session logs already on your Mac at ~/.claude/projects/. This reading happens entirely on your device. The computed totals never leave your device except via your own iCloud (below).

iCloud sync. So your iPhone widgets can show data computed on your Mac, Cooldown stores a small usage snapshot in your own iCloud key-value storage and a shared App Group container on your devices. This is your private iCloud, governed by Apple's privacy terms. We have no access to it.

What we do NOT do

In-App Purchases

Cooldown Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple processes the transaction; we receive no payment details. Purchase status is determined by Apple's StoreKit entitlements on your device.

Third parties

Cooldown is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic.

Children

Cooldown is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change and the new version will be posted at this URL.
